About Valentin Orn Senior
Valentin Orn Senior (1922-1985) was a pioneering science fiction author who balanced his literary pursuits with a successful career as a corporate lawyer in Stockholm. His seminal work, "The Quantum Advocates" (1963), drew heavily from his legal expertise, depicting a future where artificial intelligences stand trial for consciousness. Written during late nights at his law firm, the novel earned critical acclaim for its meticulous exploration of ethics and personhood. Despite pressure to write full-time, Orn maintained his legal practice, claiming that "the daily dance of human conflict" fueled his creative work. He went on to publish three more novels before his retirement in 1980.
